Modern RCBO boards protect each circuit individually, a fault in the garden doesn’t black out the freezer, and every circuit gets life-saving residual current protection.

Now standard under BS 7671: an SPD absorbs voltage spikes from the grid or nearby lightning that would otherwise quietly destroy the electronics in your boilers, TVs and computers.

Old unit out, new unit in, every circuit tested to BS 7671 as it’s reconnected — a mini health-check of your whole installation.

Certificate

An Electrical Installation Certificate and Building Regulations notification, plus a labelled board so you know what everything does.

How long does the replacement take?

Most swaps take 4–6 hours including the testing. You’ll be without power for part of that, we’ll agree timing so it never catches you out.

Usually the observation is genuine (no RCDs is a real C2), but we’re happy to review your report free and tell you plainly what’s required versus recommended.

Dual-RCD boards group circuits under two shared trips, one fault can down half the house. RCBO boards trip only the faulty circuit. We fit RCBO as standard because the day something trips, you’ll care.
